Brad Bell, President and owner of CO ENERGY, a subsidiary of Connell Oil Incorporated, with world headquarters located in Pasco, Washington, has been named the 2015–16 President of the Western Petroleum Marketers Association (WPMA), a seven- state trade association representing petroleum marketers in the states of Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Washington.
Mr. Bell has worked in the company since July 1987, when Connell Oil Inc was founded. In 2002 Mr. Bell took over as President of Connell Oil Incorporated. The company now goes by the name CO ENERGY and is a fuel and lubricant products and services provider built on strong family values, sheer determination, and individuals with solid work ethics. CO-ENERGY now operates more than 19 Pacific Pride sites, as well as seven offices, warehouses, and a farm supply store in Eastern Washington.
Bell first served on the WPMA Executive Committee as the Senior PMAA Director for the association in the 2011 – 12 year, and has advanced through the chairs at WPMA. Previous to joining the WPMA Executive Committee, he served several years as the President of the Washington Oil Marketers Association (WOMA), whose members are primarily involved in the wholesale and retail distribution of gasoline and diesel fuel in the state of Washington. Bell currently holds a seat on the WOMA Board of Directors, and he also serves as the Small Business/Political Action Committee Co-Chair for the national Petroleum Marketers Association of America (PMAA). He was officially installed as the WPMA President in July, and will preside over the Association, as well as the nationally recognized WPMAEXPO that will be held at the Mirage Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada in February, 2016.
Mr. Bell and his family believe in supporting the communities where they do business. “Helping out our customers and our community is very important to me personally,” said Bell. “We like to give to worthy causes, and follow the lead of our employees and our customers in determining whom to partner with.” Connell Oil participates in many local and regional charities and has been very supportive of local kid’s sports. He has also enjoyed coaching basketball and girls fast pitch softball for several years with his 2 daughters. Other activities he personally and the company sponsors are Relay For Life, Junior Achievement, Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, Rotary International, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Boys & Girls Club, Future Farmers of America and chambers of commerce in all the communities CO Energy serves, to name a few. "We also get involved in many local schools," said Bell. "We donate money, advertise in their newspapers, support their sports teams and sponsor them in various ways. It's always good to support the kids of our customers and strengthen our community ties." (Spirit Petroleum News Article) http://www.spiritpetroleum.com/SpiritNews/news_files/stories/ITSsummer12.html
