In addition, $4.5 billion is appropriated across all means of financing for capital improvement projects, including $1.4 billion in general obliga-tion bond funds for construction projects statewide.In signing HB1800, Governor Green also imposed line-item budgetreductions totaling $74.2 million in general operating funds forFY25. However, no cuts to social services were included in theseline-item reductions. Maui WildfireIn addition to the ~$1Bn appropriation approved for the Maui wildfire support initiatives and rebuilding, Governor Green signed legisla-tion enabling the creation of the Office of the State Fire Marshal (Act 209, SLH 2024) to enhance fire safety and prevention across Hawai'i.
