b'Association InformationWPMAScholarship FoundationAnnouncesExciting Changes for 2025WPMA Accounts Since its inception in 1990,the WPMA ScholarshipPayable andScholarship Foundation has proudly supported students from each WPMA Coordinatormember state, awarding $4,000 scholarships to help ease the financial burden of higher education. Over the last three decades, Emily Perrythe Foundation has awarded 270 scholarships to deservingstudents, providing a total of $874,000 in educational support.However, as the cost of education continues to rise, the WPMA Scholarship Committee has recognized the need to adapt the scholarship program to better serve todays students. With these changes, the WPMA Scholarship Foundation aims to make a more meaningful impact on each recipients educational journey.Starting in 2025, the WPMA Scholarship Foundation willaward four $10,000 scholarships to students of marketer membercompanies annually. These awards will be open to studentsacross all WPMA member states. Additionally, the Foundation will award one $6,000 scholarship designated for students ofassociate member companies.In a further effort to expand access, beginning in 2025, eligibility has been broadened to include first-time college students. This update ensures that students who were unable to embark on their educational journey right after high school can now take advan-tage of the Foundations scholarship opportunity years later. These changes reflect WPMAs ongoing dedication to support-ing education within the petroleum industry, equipping students for a successful future in an increasingly competitive world.
