Twenty State legislative races had been decided in the August 10 primary election. 60.5% of Hawaiis 860,868 registered voters cast their bal-lots in the general election, which represented an approxi-Bob Hoodmately 3% increase from the prior election.HEMA PresidentFEDERAL U.S. SENATE Mazie Hirono (D) won her reelection against her opponent, former State Representative Bob McDermott (R). U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES Hawaiis 1st congressional district representative,Ed Case (D), won his reelection against his opponent, Patrick Largey (R). Hawaiis 2nd congressional district representative, Jill Tokuda (D), won her reelection against her opponent, Steve Bond (R).
