b'2020 Post WPMAEXPO SCHOLARSHIP Foundation2020 Events in ReviewScholarship ReceptionThe Doug Alexander Memorial Scholarship Reception was held on Monday, February 17 th to honor those who made a cash by Kathy Michaelis, donation of $1,000 or more to the WPMA Scholarship Foundation during the past year. Coordinator WPMA President Dennis Campo and his wife Carla hosted the event, which was held in a private villa attached to the Mirage. The opulent villa was a perfect venue for the reception, and the warm weather allowed the attend-ees to enjoy the villas private patio, yard and putting green. The reception attendees enjoyed outstanding fellowship and networking opportunities as they partook of a mouth-watering array of appetizers and drinks, served by the villas butler and staff. Our thanks to all those who donated $1,000 or more to the Scholarship Foundation this past year as Reception Sponsors, Sustaining Column Club members and Platinum Level donors. Scholarship Silent AuctionThe 2020 Scholarship Silent Auction featured a wide variety of items up for bid, with everything from sparkling jewelry, rich wines and fun collect-ibles to amazing vacation packages, sports event tickets, and golf certificates. The auction items were available for viewing in the WPMAEXPOrotunda, and auction participants were able to view and bid on items from their cell phones or computers, giving them the opportunity to bid from any location at any time.A huge Thank You to all those who donated or purchased items in the 2020 Silent Auction. This years auction raised nearly $18,000. Proceeds from the auction go directly to the Scholarship Foundation, to help fund the eight $4,000 scholar-ships awarded each year. 56 www.wpma.com / Spring 2020'
