Elizabeth is the second of four children of Edward and Cathy Gilmore of Murray. She applied for the WPMA Scholarship through Eaton Sales and Ser-vice, where her father Edward works as a Division Manager. Elizabeth, or Beth as she is known by family and friends, graduat-ed from Murray High School in June with a 3.96 GPA, ranked in the top 10% of her class. She wrote: While I dont count myself among the schools elite and gifted students, my work ethic, desire to serve, and openness to try new things made my high school ex-perience something I will look back on with pride. A tough work ethic drove me to earn top grades in every classeven those which I found extremely challenging. With an eye always toward a higher education, I chose classes that would best prepare me for that challenge, such as honors math and English, and college-level biology, finance, communications, and algebra.Beth has a love for service and supporting others, so she joined several organizations and clubs. As a freshman, she served asREAD ONLINEsecretary in Murray High Schools student government.
