b'2020 State Report WA We really do not Washington Wire WOMA Working Hard to find NormalcyCOVID-19 has reshaped our world. know when this crisis will end, but when it does conclude, we can be assured our world will look quite different. WOMA has been shifting and adjusting, just as every business in the US has been doing since this global pandemic reached our world in February. I think about traveling to WPMA in Las Vegas, and that reality felt like it was an alternate reality. In some ways, it really was. Now we look forward to our own WOMA Convention and won-der if it will ever be the same again. I hope it will be. But in the meantime, we are doing what we can to keep our family together. We do so all while keeping government guidelines in check, conspiracy theories at bay, and addressing the need to get our economy energized again. This pandemic is doing global econom-ic damage at a scale we will be feeling for a decade to come. It truly breaks my heart, and of course, we mourn the loss and fear being driven into families by the effects of this dreadful virus. But we must press on. And press on WOMA will. We have been working tirelessly with Suncadia Lodge to reinvent our program in a timely fashion so that we satisfy all the needs and viewpoints of our membership. Therefore, we have come up with the follow-ing program. We plan to reconvene our event at Suncadia from August 24th to 26th, 2020. We are looking to host most of our activities outside when possible and have lots of sanitizer and wipes on hand to keep everyone feeling safe. Our mission is to reunite this amaz-ing family in a safe and transparent way. Here is what we have envisioned for all of you!August 24th will start with the opportunity for Major Oil and Vendors to take their own customers out for golf either on Rope Rider or Propsector, at your own cost and coordination. Starting at 4 p.m., WOMA will host our traditional Presidents Reception at the Roslyn Meadow for a two-hour period. Private company dinners can be organized that evening. August 25th will start with a Horse Race, and then roll into our WOMA Golf Tournament on Prospector at 10:00 a.m. The twist this year is that vendors will have an opportunity to buy their trade show booth ON THE COURSE and connect on a more per-sonal level in an outdoor setting. WOMA will own the course, so even if the play is slow, it wont matter. Then we will move to the Amphitheater area at 5:00 p.m. for the US Oil Cocktail Party, and then dinner and entertainment at 7:00 p.m. August 26th will bring us about four hours of speakers and a gen-eral business session in the morning hours, and the Convention will end around noon or 1 p.m. that day. 56 www.wpma.com / Summer 2020'
