b'State ReportNEW MEXICO Petroleum Marketers Association ReportNEW MEXICO NOTESLeland Gould NMPMAExecutive DirectorAs the Summer comes to an endtheNew Mexico Petroleum Marketers 2025convention once again had a successful event.The speakers provided updates that members were very interested in hearing about and learning new information impacting the industry. The first speaker was Representative Gail Armstrong,Republican Leader in the House. She mostly talked about the 2026 session coming up next year and the challenges industry will likely face. The second speaker was Michelle Miano,the Director of the Environmental ProtectionDivision in the New Mexico EnvironmentDepartment. Michelle gave updates on the NM Clean Car Fuel Program, explaining that the EIB Board will be writing the rules and regulations in September and October. Public comments in person and in writing will be accepted.Our last speaker was Les Owen, the DeputyDirector/Secretary of the New Mexico Department of Agriculture. Les talked about how his depart-ment oversees the fuel standards in New Mexico.Once again, we had a successful GOLF TOURNAMENT withMichael Zapach, Mark Zapach, Ed De Bruyn and David Chavezwinning a playoff for FIRST PLACE. The team of Steve Snider, Brad Shafer, Tom Kirby and Leland Gould tookSECOND PLACE. Both teams had a score of 15 under.CLOSEST TO THE HOLE,winners were Mark Zapach winning hole #3, Nathan Smith winning hole #8,and Alex Juarez on hole #16.
