b'Summer 2025 2025 Hall of Fame: Ron BerryMARKETER MEMBER Were proud to recognize Ron Berry,of Berry Oil in Tetonia, Idaho, as a 2025 WPMA Hall of Fame inductee. News Growing up in a small rural town, Ron was known for his pas-sion for baseball, fishing, and hunting. At fourteen he earned his drivers license and started driving fuel trucks in the family business. At this time his PPE consisted of cut off shorts, tennis shoes, and a bare chestMy how the industry has changed since his teen years, comments daughter, Jessica Berry. Rons family RON BERRYties to the fuel industry date back to the 1930s, beginning with the WPMA Past PresidentStandard Oil Company of California.2017-2018After high school, Ron served a mission for The Church of Jesus Berry Oil Christ of Latter-day Saints in Anaheim, California. He later at-Tetonia, ID tended Ricks College, earning a degree in business management and, more importantly, meeting his sweetheart of 43 years.Ron returned to Tetonia in 1982 to become a third-generation fuel distributor. Working alongside his father, and eventually his wife and children, Ron helped carry the family business forward,expanding beyond the borders of their hometown. Today, Berry Oil has operations throughout Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, and Utah, including multiple bulk plants and convenience stores in southeastern Idaho. Ron credits his success to his wife saying,I think the honor probably goes more to my wife than it doesfor me, because shes been by my side everywhere we went.We are a team and Im grateful for her.Ron became a member of the Idaho Petroleum Marketers & Convenience Store Association in 1998. He joined the board in 2003 and served as IPM&CSA President from 2009 to 2011. Ron joined the WPMA Executive Committee in 2013, serving as WPMA President from 2017 to 2018. Above all, Ron is a family man. He and his wife are proud parents of three chil-dren and two daughters-in-law and are beaming grandparents to five beloved grandchildren. When hes not working, Ron loves to travel with his wife, golf with his family, chase his grandkids in all their activities, and serve in his community and church.S18www.wpma.com / Summer 2025'
