16 www.wpma.com / Spring 2026 One of the most meaningful stories he shared came from his college football days: After losing a difficult game, Tebow had to attend an awards show, where he was up for a few awards. Frustrated and disappointed by the recent loss and continually losing the awards he was in the running for, he initially struggled to appreciate the moment. That perspective changed when he met a young girl attending the event who had endured lifelong health challenges and fought simply to walk. Her strength shifted his outlook entirely. “Perspective is one of the hardest things in life to gain but it’s one of the easiest things in life to lose,” Tebow said, “I be- lieve one of the greatest forms of tragedy is being successful in everything that doesn’t matter, and we have to fight to keep perspective.” By the end of his keynote, Tebow reflected on the direction of his life and the legacy he hopes to leave behind. While much of the first half of his life was defined by football victories and athletic fame, he shared that his focus today is on causes that matter far beyond the field. Through his foundation and other initiatives, Tebow is deeply involved in the fight against human trafficking and in supporting vulnerable children around the world. “One of the greatest disappointments in my life is that my biggest effort, focus, intensity, and passion was for a game,” Tebow said. “But at the end of my life, hopefully, if we could have a conversation, I could say it started for a game, but it ended for the things that really matter.” S KEYNOTE SESSION continued 2026 Post WPMAEXPO
