Elliot Sorenson—Oregon | Awarded 2023
Elliot Sorenson made the most of her final year, balancing leadership roles  
in her school’s Real Estate Club and earning her California Real Estate  
License. She took on these challenges and gained valuable experience 
that helped clarify her career goals.
“As I finish my degree this year, my goal is to graduate with the same 
intention I have tried to bring to every quarter, then step into commercial 
brokerage ready to build something lasting and entirely my own.”
Blake Vanweerdhuizen—Washington | Awarded 2023
During Blake Vanweerdhuizen’s final year, he was able to take more courses 
focused on his major, giving him a clearer sense that he was headed in the  
right direction. Alongside his studies, Blake continued working at the  
campus coffee shop while making time for friends along the way.  
“I am excited to see where this final year in school will take me. I hope to  
finish strong and to hopefully find a full-time job over this year.”
