b"Summer 2022MEMBER HALL of Fame: Brett AdamsNews IT'S NOT EVERY YEARthat the WPMA Executive Committee selects a deserving individual from the petroleum or related industry for the WPMA Hall of Fame. On Wednesday, February 23rd, Brett Adams of Adams Petroleum from Burley, Idaho was announced as the newest inductee to this prestigious Hall of Fame. Here is a little about our 2022 inductee: Brett was born and raised in Idaho. After graduation from Burley High School, he attended Ricks College and later transferred to Utah State University. His father Larry B. Adams started in the petroleum marketing business in the 1970s, joining WPMA in 1976. In 1983 Brett came home from school to run the companys Twin Falls plant and fulfill a life-long dream. His father Larry gifted the marketing business to Brett and his brother Kelly in 2000. They continually wonder if that wasnt some form of punishment! Continuing the legacy of his father, Brett was diligently involved in the Idaho and WPMA associations, through his belief that it is im-portant to give back to an organization from which he receives so much.Brett has been active in the Idaho Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association since the early 90s, serving on the board for many years. He was president of IPM&CSA from 2005 to 2007. After his Idaho presi-dency, he went on to move up the chairs of the WPMA Executive Committee, and served as WPMA President in 2012-2013. He will tell anyone that the most rewarding benefit about participating in a leadership capacity is all the terrific friendships made along the way. Brett currently serves as a State Director on the IPM&CSA Board and was recently appointed Chairman of the Idaho Petroleum Storage Tank Fund. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for Western Mutual Insurance. He is devoted to two sports, shooting sport-ing clays and golf, and he currently is one of the coaches for the Burley High School Trap Team. He has been married to his wife Mary Frances for 40 years. They have two sons: Alex, who lives in Alaska with his wife and 3 children, and Nick, who resides in Denver. WPMA congratulates our 2022 WPMA Hall of Fame recipient, Brett Adams. Thank you for your service in the industry; you are very deserving of this recognition.S36 www.wpma.com / Summer 2022"
